- One of the most common tests people do is to place the bead in a glass of water. If it is a high-quality bead, it will settle down at the bottom of the glass; however, if it is an inferior-quality bead, it will float on the surface only.
- Also, you can hold the bead against any source of light and if there are any visible cracks, you can sport them.
- You can also scientifically check them; all you need to do is place them under a microscope or even use an X-ray method and look at the internal structure.
- Also, one can examine the colour of the bead, when a bead is dyed, it usually has a uniform colour. And good quality Ek Mukhi will have sharp edges on one of the ends and the Mukhi lines will run from head to tail without interruption.
