How To Break Fast During Papankusha Ekadashi?
Parana means the act of breaking the fast. It should be done after sunrise, next day. It is important to perform it within Dwadashi Tithi, only if that is not completed before the sunrise itself.
However, remember that Parana should not be done during Hari Vasara. You should wait for it to be concluded. Hari Vasara is the first 1/4th duration of the Dwadashi tithi. The best for breaking fast is pratahkal. In any case, devotees should not break fast during Madhyahna. In case, you are not able to break the fast during the Pratahkal, do it after Madhyahna.
One should avoid breaking the fast-during Madhyahna. If due to some reasons one is not able to break the fast-during Pratahkal then one should do it after Madhyahna.
Sometimes, Ekadashi fasting is suggested for 2 consecutive days. In that case, Smartha with family should observe fasting on the day 1 only. Sanyasis, widows and those who want Moksha should observe the fasting on the 2nd day.
