Hindu Months for Bhoomi Poojan in 2023:
- Maag: This includes the months of January and February, building houses in these months will bring success for the owner.
- Chaitra: It is one of the most ideal times (March and April) for building houses in these months as it may bring blessings of ancestors.
- Phalguna: It includes the months of February and March are appropriate as well, as they bring health and wellness
- Baisakh: It includes the months of April and May, which are ideal and bring wealth and prosperity.
- Kartik: It includes the months of October and November, building houses in these months will bring joy and happiness for the owner.
- Also, it is held that construction should not start during Ashada Shukla paksha to Kartik Shukla paksha, as during this time Shri Narayan sleeps.
One should refrain from building houses in the months of Bhadrapad (August – September), Ashwin (September to October), and Poush which extends from December to January as construction during these periods can cause health, family as well and financial problems to the bearer.
Do’s and Don’ts after purchasing the land
- The first thing to do, even before Bhoomi pooja, is build a compound wall and make sure that the height of the southwest wall is slightly higher than the rest of the walls.
- Performing Bhoomi Pooja is considered auspicious since it brings happiness and prosperity.
- Before conducting the Bhoomi pooja itself, remove the dead plants and grow some fresh plants.
- It is considered that keeping a cow or calf on the land and allowing her to eat grass brings good fortune.
- In case you have bought the land and are unable to start the construction because of some reasons that you can not avoid, you should start by cleaning the middle or central portion of the plot.
