- Then, light a diya just in front of the idol, apply a tilak of kumkum, and offer sweets (Ganesh ji’s favourite laddoo and modak) and yellow vermillion.
- Bring durva grass, Bhagwan Ganesh’s favourite herb, to offer him.
- Recite the Bindayak Katha (Bhagwan Ganesh Katha) and perform Aarti
- Go to the temple and offer laddoo and modak bhog to Bhagwan Ganesha.
- Offer the bhog to Bhagwan Ganesh, and later have the prasad and distribute it to other devotees.
- After offering bhog to Ganesha Ji, you must offer water (Arghya) to the moon before breaking their Sankashti fast.
- You can break your fast after distributing Prasad to all family members.
