Rituals to be performed before construction of the house

- February 14: Pertaining to the solar month of Falgun, the sun will be in Kumbh, This date is ideal for beginning construction for a house facing east or west, construction on this house will attract gains in jewellery and gold.
- April 14: Pertaining to Baisakh, the sun will be in mesh, this date is ideal for beginning construction for a house facing north/south.
- May 14: During Jestha, Sun will be in Vrish, It will be ideal to begin construction of houses facing south or north, wealth will increase by construction during this time.
- August 14: In the month of Bhadrapada, when the sun will be in Kanya rashi, construction of houses facing west or east direction will be beneficial.
- October 14: In Kartik, when the sun is in Tula, the construction of houses facing north or south direction will bring happiness and comfort to the natives.
- November 14: The native will have financial gains by beginning construction activities in the month of Margashirsha/Agrahāyaṇa of houses that are facing north or south directions.
