Devotees start their day early to prepare for Vighnaraja Sankashti Chaturthi. They fast from sunrise until moonrise, breaking the fast only after seeing the Moon. During the day, they eat only fruits, vegetables, Sabudana Khichadi, various potato dishes, and peanuts.
